Botox / botulinum toxin

Multiple injections of the neurotoxin, Botulinum Toxin type A, are commonly used in areas of wrinkles of the upper face such as the forehead, frown lines and crow’s feet. However, it can be used in various areas of the face and neck to help the appearance of lines. It is commonly referred to as "Botox", but this is a brand name and multiple ones are available.

It works by disrupting the signals from the nerve to the muscle, preventing full movement. This prevents the formation of lines, and can reduce deepening of pre-existing lines static lines which appear at rest.

When a muscle stops receiving nerve signals it will weaken and shrink (atrophy) which can reduce the size of certain muscles such as the masseter (side of jaw). It can also work on the sweat glands and is commonly used in the armpits for excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis.

Results can be seen in as little as 1-2 weeks and on average will last 3-4 months as new receptors grow back. Subject to consultation as a prescription only medication.

Dermal Filler

Lips

Change the volume of your lips by injecting customised amounts of filler from 0.55- 1ml . The shape, symmetry and proportions can also be augmented with strategic injections.

Cheeks

The midface is where volume is most noticeably lost, and is often the first place recommended to start with in facial rejuvenation. Starting here can often replace the need for filler elsewhere.

Lower face - Chin & Jawline

A surprisingly important location to define the profile and subtle changes can make a significant difference to your whole look.

Lower face – Marionettes and Nasolabials

Marionettes are the vertical lines leading down from the corner of mouth. They can make people often look sad and make the whole mouth look downturned. Botox can help with this as well. Nasolabial lines run from the side of the nostrils down to the corner of the mouth and are commonly requested to be erased with filler!

Tear trough

Commonly described as under eye hollows, these are NOT the same as eye bags or dark circles. Dr Spencer uses Teoxane REDENSITY 2 for this treatment, the only premium product licensed for this specific area.

Hands

One of the first areas people may notice ageing, the hands can also receive filler to restore volume loss and rejuvenate their appearance.

More than 1 session can be required depending on the degree of change. All are subject to consultation.

Skin Boosters

Skin boosters are an injectable form of hyaluronic acid, placed just below the skin surface to target problems such as dullness and premature skin aging. Essentially an injectable moisturizer, they delivers deep skin hydration, target fine lines and restore the skin's density.

PROFHILO is our most popular treatment to our anti-ageing portfolio and does much more than just add moisture. It actually stimulates skin to produce more of its own natural collagen and elastin, creating a tightening and lifting effect. Multi award winning, Profhilo can be used on the face, neck, décolleté and hands. It is usually delivered in 2 sessions a month apart, and then 6 monthly.

SUNEKOS is an extremely versatile product, not only boosting hydration levels immediately, but with its unique amino acid complex it helps rebuild the skin matrix and promote firmer more youthful looking skin. It can be used over the whole face and neck, and is particularly good for loose crepey skin. Also a good choice if there is volume loss around the under eye. Usual protocols are 3 sessions a month apart with the first being a loading dose of 2 products for the whole face.

Numbing cream is applied before all boosters to give a comfortable experience.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels remove the dull outer layers of skin to reveal brighter newer skin underneath, and can also help with the appearance of fine lines and pigmentation.

This is a superficial, salicylic based peel which is designed to exfoliate and help improve overall complexion. It provides tighter, smoother, brighter-looking skin after just 1 use. A series of 3 – 6 peels provide the best results.

Regenerative Medical Treatments

Regenerative medicine is about harnessing the body's own processes to regenerate and heal itself.

MEDICAL MICRONEEDLING with EXOSOMES

We like to offer the best and newest technologies that medicine can offer, and exosomes are taking the lead in regenerative aesthetic medicine. These are extra cellular vesicles (messenger packets) used in cell to cell signalling typically when cells divide. They can be filled with various substances, including growth factors, lipids and nucleic acids. When these are used on our skin cells they can give the correct messages to regenerate and act like new skin cells, producing lots of collagen and elastin. They have been shown to be significantly more potent than PRP.

They are best delivered to the skin with microneedling, and again we have invested in the best technology with Dermapen 4; the fastest and most versatile pen available.

Microneedling alone has great regenerative effects, helping remodel the skin surface by creating a wound response that triggers the body's natural healing. Combined with exosomes, its the ultimate non invasive skin treatment.

POLYNUCLEOTIDES

This is an injectable treatment using the Mastelli range, which is CE marked and of very high concentration. They are fragments of purified DNA injected very superficially into the skin to stimulate skin cells to regenerate. We often lose the ability to reproduce healthy skin as we age and polynucleotides can help repair this age related damage. They boost collagen and elastin to improve tissue regeneration and restoring skin tone and elasticity. It has an antioxidant, anti-pigment and hydrating effect in addition to the bio-remodelling, therefore resulting in skin that looks and feels healthier.

They can be used anywhere on the skin, but under the eye it is a particular star treatment as no swelling is caused. Typically a course of 3 treatments is needed 3-4 weeks apart. Numbing cream is applied beforehand.
