Dermal Filler

A safe, natural-feeling injectable gel used to restore lost volume, define facial contours and achieve subtle, refreshed results without surgery.

About

Dermal fillers are made from a smooth gel that closely resembles a substance your body produces naturally to keep skin plump and hydrated. At SAM Clinic we use premium brands Belotero and Teoxane to restore fullness and definition to areas that have lost volume over time. Filler can be placed in the lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, the lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth, the lines from the mouth corners downwards, the hollows under the eyes and the hands. Every treatment includes a 2-week review appointment, and Dr Sarah's guiding principle is that the best result is one nobody can detect.

How It Works

1

Consultation & Assessment

A full medical and aesthetic consultation is conducted prior to any treatment to check if this treatment is suitable for you and your particular concerns.

2

Treatment

Numbing cream is used prior to treatment, which also contains local anaesthetic for your comfort. Needles and cannulas are both used.

3

Aftercare

A full aftercare plan is discussed with you and sent to you digitally for reference afterwards. This is to minimise complications and to ensure the best result for you.

Is This The Right Treatment For You?

Filler is a great option for anyone who has noticed their face looking a little flatter, hollower or less defined than it used to, or who wants to enhance a specific feature such as the lips or jawline. It is equally well suited to patients in their 30s through to their 60s and beyond, whether the goal is subtle enhancement or natural-looking rejuvenation. All patients have a full facial consultation with Dr Sarah before any treatment takes place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Numbing cream is applied before treatment, and the premium fillers we use also contain a built-in numbing agent to keep you comfortable throughout. Most patients find the process very manageable.

Results typically last 6–12 months depending on where the filler is placed and how your body responds. Lip filler tends to fade a little faster, while cheek filler often lasts longer with good aftercare.

Absolutely. Dr Sarah's approach is always to work with your natural features rather than change them. Every treatment is tailored to your face and your goals, so the result looks refreshed and rested, not 'done'.
