The Menopause Skin Reset: Inside My 90-Day Skin Programme

The Menopause Skin Reset is a 90-day, GP-led skin programme I've created for women in perimenopause and menopause, at my clinic in Lancing, West Sussex. In this article I'll walk you through exactly how it works: what happens at each appointment, how your treatments are chosen, and what you leave with at the end.

Why I created a programme, not another treatment

In clinic, I kept hearing the same thing from women in their forties and fifties: "My skin has changed, and nothing I do seems to work any more." There's a real reason for that. Collagen falls sharply after menopause, by around 30% in the first five years according to the British Skin Foundation, and skin becomes drier, thinner and more sensitive.

Most women respond by trying a new product or booking a one-off treatment. But menopausal skin rarely improves with a single fix. It needs a plan: understanding what's changed, choosing the right treatment, supporting the skin at home, and checking progress along the way.

That's what the Menopause Skin Reset is. It brings my two areas of work together, skin and women's health, so your skin is assessed with your menopause in mind rather than in isolation.

Your 90 days, step by step

The programme has six appointments over about 13 weeks, all at my Lancing clinic apart from one short online check-in.

Week 0: Your menopause and skin assessment (about 90 minutes) We start with a full menopause consultation, talking through your symptoms, your health and how you're feeling, alongside a detailed skin assessment and skin scan. Together these tell me what's driving the changes in your skin. You leave with a personalised homecare plan and a skincare starter kit, and we agree which treatment route suits you.

Weeks 2 to 10: Your three treatments You'll have three in-clinic treatments, timed for your skin. Sunekos treatments are about two weeks apart, at weeks 2, 4 and 6. Microneedling treatments are about four weeks apart, at weeks 2, 6 and 10, giving your skin time to renew between sessions.

Week 8: Online check-in (15 minutes) A short video or phone call to see how your skin is responding and adjust your homecare if needed, without another trip to the clinic.

Day 90: Your final review (60 minutes) We repeat your skin scan so you can see your progress side by side with where you started, and have a menopause follow-up. You leave with a written plan for the next three to six months, covering skincare, maintenance treatments and any further menopause support you'd like.

How your treatment is chosen

There are two treatment routes, and I recommend one at your assessment based on what your skin needs most.

  • If your main concern is texture, dullness, uneven tone or pigmentation: microneedling with a targeted serum, plus a brightening peel where pigmentation needs it. This encourages the skin's own renewal and collagen production, while delivering active ingredients deeper into the skin.
  • If your main concern is dryness, laxity or fine lines: Sunekos, an injectable skin booster combining hyaluronic acid and amino acids, to support hydration and skin quality.

You don't need to know which is right for you before you book. That's what the assessment is for.

Your skincare starter kit

Treatments work best when your daily routine supports them. Everyone on the programme takes home:

  • AlumierMD Ultimate Boost Serum, a hydrating serum with peptides, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide
  • NeoStrata SPF, because daily sun protection is essential to protect your results

Your homecare plan explains how to use them alongside anything else that suits your skin.

How it differs from booking single treatments

  • Assessment: a full menopause consultation plus a skin assessment and scan, rather than a standard skin consultation.
  • Treatment choice: recommended for your skin, menopause stage and goals.
  • Homecare: a personalised plan and starter kit are included.
  • Progress: skin scans at the start and at day 90, so you can see the difference.
  • Afterwards: a written three to six month plan, so your results don't stop when the programme does.

Priced separately at my normal prices, everything in the programme comes to more than £1,100.

Who the Menopause Skin Reset is for

The programme is for women in perimenopause or menopause who:

  • have noticed their skin becoming drier, duller, less firm or more uneven
  • feel their usual skincare has stopped working
  • would like a medically led plan rather than trying treatments one at a time
  • value having their skin and their menopause looked at together

You don't need to be under any particular menopause care to join, and there's no expectation that you change anything about it. If you're already seeing someone else for your menopause, the assessment simply focuses on how your hormonal stage is affecting your skin.

Every treatment depends on clinical suitability, which we'll check at your assessment.

Price, payment and places

The Menopause Skin Reset is £950. You can pay in full, or in three instalments: half when you book, then a quarter at each of your first two treatments.

Because each programme involves six appointments with me personally, places are limited, so that everyone can be seen at the right intervals.

The programme takes place at my private clinic in Lancing, a calm and discreet setting away from the high street, easy to reach from Worthing, Shoreham-by-Sea and the surrounding area.

Frequently asked questions about the Menopause Skin Reset

How many appointments are there? Six: your assessment, three treatments, a 15-minute online check-in and a final review at day 90. Five of the six are in person at my Lancing clinic.

How is this different from a course of microneedling? A course gives you the treatments. The Menopause Skin Reset adds a full menopause consultation, a skin scan at the start and end, a personalised homecare plan with a starter kit, a check-in and a written plan for afterwards. It's designed around menopausal skin specifically.

Do I choose between microneedling and Sunekos? I'll recommend the route that suits your skin at your assessment, and explain why. You're always welcome to ask questions before deciding.

Will the menopause consultation mean I have to start medication? No. It's a chance to understand your symptoms and your options. Any decision about your wider menopause care is entirely yours and isn't part of the programme.

Can I pay in instalments? Yes. You can pay half when you book, then a quarter at each of your first two treatments, with no interest or finance company involved.

When will I see results? Many women notice brighter, more hydrated skin within a few weeks. Firmness and texture improve gradually and can keep improving after day 90, which is why your final review includes a plan for the following months.

What happens after the 90 days? You'll leave with a written three to six month plan. That may include maintenance treatments every few months, ongoing skincare, or a menopause follow-up if you'd find it helpful.
