BOS Building Facing West deep The window belongs to theThe western elevation of the BOS Building rises across the Port Kembla Steelworks, its concrete and steel frame giving scale to the steelmaking complex that has operated continuously since No. 1 blast furnace was blown in on 29 August 1928. Basic oxygen steelmaking arrived at Port Kembla in 1972, replacing the open hearth furnaces that had run since 1931. Part of the BlueScope Port Kembla series.
