Hawaii 5 Dala Stamp Duty Revenue Scott R4 — Perforated, OG, Unusual Separation Writers & Poets ) - Used with 1862Offered here is an attractive example of the Hawaiian Islands 5 Dala Stamp D I uty revenue, Scott R4, printed in red orange with the blue typeset "STAMP 5 DUTY" surcharge. "ELIMA" at top and "ISLANDS" at bottom, with "DALA" in the lower tablet a handsome and scarce 19th century Hawaiian fiscal. The interesting detail: Scott R4 is cataloged as rouletted, but this example is clearly perforated on all four sides, with clean, uniform round hole perfs.
