the image itself only has light surface wear

Ambrotype is in its original hanging wall frame - it's not missing its cover - and is in excellent condition

1870s CDV of Murderer Edward Stokes black americana At some point somebody butOriginal CDV of Stokes. Edward Stokes was a business associate of Big Jim Fisk who had a mistress named Josie Mansfield. Stokes wooed her away from Fisk, and the pair later tried to extort money from Fisk. Failing that, Stokes shot Fisk and killed him. CDV is about 4" x 2. 5" with blank, clean back, and is in very good or better antique condition.
